How to play

  1. Click a cell. Clicking a cell toggles it and its four orthogonal neighbours on or off.
  2. Chase the lights off. Plan your clicks to knock out the lit cells without switching others back on.
  3. Clear the board. Turn every light off to win — try a bigger grid for a harder puzzle.

About Lights Out

The classic toggle puzzle. You are faced with a grid of lit cells, and clicking any cell flips it and its four orthogonal neighbours on or off. The goal is to turn every light off — trickier than it looks, because each click affects up to five cells at once. Every board is built by applying random clicks to an all-off grid, so it is always solvable. Choose a 3×3 for a gentle start, 5×5 for the classic, or 7×7 for a brain-bender. It runs in your browser — no signup.
