How to play

- Flip down tiles. Select any standing tiles that add up to the roll and flip them down.
- Score low. Keep going until no move is left; your score is the sum of standing tiles — aim for 0.
About Shut the Box
Shut the Box is a classic pub and family dice game. Tiles numbered 1 to 9 start standing up. You roll two dice, then flip down any combination of tiles that adds up to your roll — a 9 could be a single 9, or 4 and 5, or 2, 3 and 4. Keep rolling and flipping until no standing tiles can make your roll. Your score is the sum of the tiles left standing, so lower is better, and flipping every tile down 'shuts the box' for a perfect zero. Your best score is saved locally. No signup.
