How to play
- Walk and push. Use the arrow keys or swipe to walk; stepping into a crate pushes it one tile in that direction.
- Mind the rules. You can never pull a crate, never push two at once, and never push one into a wall or another crate.
- Fill every target. Get every crate onto a marked spot to clear the level and move on — use Undo or Restart if you get stuck.
About Sokoban
Sokoban is the timeless warehouse puzzle. You play a worker in a tile maze who must push every crate onto a marked target spot. The catch: you can only push, never pull, you can shove just one crate at a time, and a crate jammed against a wall or another crate will not budge — so a single careless push into a corner can make a level unsolvable. Think a few moves ahead, and use Undo to take back a mistake or Restart to reset the level. Clear the crates to advance through a series of hand-made levels that get trickier as you go. It runs in your browser — no signup, no download.
Frequently asked questions
Move your worker with the arrow keys or by swiping. Walking into a crate pushes it one tile ahead, as long as the space beyond it is clear. Your goal is to push every crate onto a marked target spot.
You can only push, never pull, and only one crate at a time. A crate will not move if a wall or a second crate is directly behind it. Pushing a crate into a corner often makes it impossible to reach a target — that is the heart of the puzzle.
Undo takes back your moves one at a time, handy when you push a crate the wrong way. Restart resets the current level to its opening layout so you can start over.
There are several hand-made levels that get harder as you progress, and solving one advances you to the next. The difficulty setting picks where you start — Easy from the first level, Normal and Hard further in.
By your total number of moves across all the levels you solve. Fewer moves is a better result, so planning your pushes pays off.
