How to play

  1. Build the tableau. Tap a card to select it, then tap a pile to move it onto a card of the opposite colour and the next rank up.
  2. Draw from the stock. Tap the stock pile to flip cards to the waste; tap the empty stock to recycle the waste and go again.
  3. Fill the foundations. Send Aces up first, then build each foundation up by suit to the King. Double-tap a card to send it automatically. Clear all 52 to win.

About Solitaire

Klondike Solitaire is the classic single-player card game that ships with every computer — now right in your browser. You’re dealt seven tableau piles and a stock; the goal is to build the four foundations up from Ace to King, one suit each. Stack cards in the tableau in descending order and alternating colours, draw from the stock when you’re stuck, and uncover the face-down cards to free up the moves you need. Choose Easy or Normal to draw one card at a time, or Hard to draw three for a real challenge. It all runs locally — no signup, no download, nothing uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Build the four foundation piles up from Ace to King, one suit per pile. In the tableau, stack cards in descending order with alternating colours (a red six on a black seven, for example). Tap a card to select it, then tap where you want it to go. Draw from the stock when you run out of moves.

Tap a card to select it — a whole run of stacked cards comes with it — then tap the destination pile to drop it. Double-tap a card to send it straight to its foundation if the move is legal. There’s no dragging, so it works reliably on touchscreens.

Easy and Normal deal one card at a time from the stock, the most forgiving way to play. Hard deals three cards at a time (draw-three), so only every third card is immediately playable — the classic harder Klondike rules.
