About Tetris
The classic falling-block puzzle, right in your browser. Seven tetromino shapes drop one at a time — move them left and right, rotate them and drop them to pack each row tight. Complete a full horizontal line and it clears, scoring points and making room. The blocks fall faster as you clear more lines, so the pressure builds the better you do. Use the arrow keys on a keyboard, or the on-screen buttons and swipes on a phone. Your best score is saved locally. No signup, no download, nothing uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Pieces made of four blocks fall from the top of the grid. Move them left and right, rotate them to fit, and drop them so each row fills completely. A full horizontal line clears and scores points. The game ends when the stack of blocks reaches the top.
You earn points for clearing lines — clearing more lines at once is worth more (one line scores 100, two 300, three 500 and four at once 800), all multiplied by your current level. Soft and hard drops add a few extra points each.
