About this tool

It lowercases the text, strips accents (so Crème Brûlée becomes creme-brulee), removes punctuation and replaces spaces with hyphens, then collapses repeats and trims stray separators. The result updates live, ready to drop into a permalink, a filename or an anchor id. Advanced options let you use underscores instead of hyphens, keep the original capitalisation, or cap the slug to a maximum length.
